Successful Development of a 4-channel of 56 GB/s Optical Front-end IC for Ethernet AOCs

  • Optical front-end IC: This SoC facilities the operation of the light-emitting and light-receiving components for optical communication.
    • LD Driver IC: Drives the light-emitting component (LD) to generate optical signals in response to current input.
    • TIA IC: Converts and amplifies the fine current signals output by the light-receiving component (PD) into voltage signals proportional to the optical signals.
  • Lower power consumption and competitive pricing are available thanks to successful development through the utilization of the 14 nm FinFET process.

Retimer IC

Developed Retimer IC for Ethernet AOCs and optical transceivers

  • A 4-channel Retimer IC has been developed successfully by utilizing 100 Gbps PAM4 SERDES IP.
  • Through the utilization of the 14 nm FinFET process, a low-power solution optimized for AOC transceivers is available.
